Property developers turn optimistic on prospects

Commercial property developers have become positive about the outlook for the first time in eight months holding out the prospect of more development and increased rents in the region, according to a survey by Savills.

The survey showed commercial developers were mildly optimistic regarding the three-month outlook for activity in January with a net balance of +1.2% reporting positive sentiment compared to -7.1% in December. Around 19% of respondents expect activity to increase over the next three months.
