Ipswich-based printing group sold

Ipswich-based Ancient House Printing Group has been sold to RDCP Group, a diversified conglomerate which controls £140 million of investments.

Ancient House is a leading commercial printer in the area, generating revenues of £18 million and employing 90 and operating from a 120, 000 sq ft plant in the Suffolk town.

A statement from joint managing directors Allison Berry and Michael Underdown, whose father Peter Underdown founded the business and moved it from London to Ipswich, said: "It will be business as usual for Ancient House Printing Group. All staff, including ourselves, will remain with the business. We will continue to operate from our factories in Ipswich producing high quality printing services across both web and sheet, and supporting our clients with our usual excellent customer service.” The statement added: “We are looking forward to working with the dynamic team at RDCP, who will bring a whole new skill set and experience to drive the business forward."
