Celebrating 125 years in Practice

On the 6th of February 1889 Isaac Lott Ensor was admitted to the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales.

At the time he was operating from relatively humble premises in Museum Street in Ipswich and was living in the town with his young wife and their two-year-old son.

It is not known if Isaac set out for his firm to offer the people of Suffolk 125 years of unrivalled first class accountancy and taxation services whilst evolving with the times.

But what we do know is that Isaac, thanks to a community-spirited father before him, John Lott Ensor, and later with his brave son Lionel Ike Ensor, a decorated war hero, was to shape a firm which would play a leading role in Suffolk's commercial history.
